TRACEABLE MATERIALS, RESPONSIBLE CRAFT. BAGS THAT LAST A LIFETIME.
 
Each hide we use is completely traceable from the farm to our shop and all offcuts are reused where possible to promote sustainability and reduce waste. We only work with tanneries that have measures in place to recycle and decontaminate wastewater before it is disposed of.
 
Our Irish linen and tweeds have been developed for Hawthorn in conjunction with Ireland’s premier workshops. Made in Ireland, for Hawthorn, each material has been sustainably produced in small quantities by the same families for generations.
 
All of our packaging is reusable, eco-friendly, and biodegradable.
 
We subscribe to the UN Global Compact, International Code of Conduct respecting human rights, international labour and environmental standards, and the fight against corruption. A commitment which has its roots in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
